Carolanne Caron has been swimming since the age of 1 because her mom couldn’t swim so, of course, the children needed to learn. That was the beginning of the best gift ever for Coach Caron. Growing up, she spent every moment possible at the town pool, went through all the swimming lessons, became a lifeguard and a water safety instructor, taught lessons, managed a State Championship swim team, and swam and dove for the high school team. Now Coach Caron competes in sprint and Olympic distance triathlon events, participates in masters level swim classes, and attends seminars with industry leaders. Her certifications include being a USA Swimming Certified Coach, an American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 2 Certified Coach, a Certified Stroke Technician, and a Precision Nutrition Level 1 (Pn1) Certified Coach. She has spent years studying different methods of swimming and adopting the pieces which work for distance swimmers. As the Head Coach of Winning Swimming in Merrimack, NH, Coach Caron specializes in knowing how to incorporate a good swim into a triathlon event and helping adults feel at ease in the water. Triathletes need to have something left for the bike and the run so she will make your swim as efficient and as easy as possible. A strong, efficient swim is the best way to have energy left over to run to T1 and ultimately complete the race. Coach Caron knows her life’s purpose is to help triathletes swim better…stronger…faster and she can’t wait to help you.

Team Captains GAIL & DAVE LEWIS once had a combined weight of nearly 500 pounds and were introduced to triathlons and running as part of their individual efforts to discard much of that weight. Gail took up running along the way and is now barely half the size she once was. She ran her first race in August 2011 and has since completed numerous road races, nearly a dozen half marathons, and several triathlons. A teacher for nearly three decades Gail is a two-time nominee and finalist for New Hampshire Teacher of the Year, and an icon in the community. It is not uncommon to see her pausing at the water stations of local races to greet current and former students and their parents!

Dave had a goal of discarding 50 pounds in time for his 50th birthday in 2011 and soon afterwards was talked into trying a 1-mile race on New Year's Day 2012 although he had never run a mile in his life. The hook was set, and the same 1-mile race on New Year's Day 2015 was his 91st race including more than two dozen half marathons, two dozen triathlons and an Ironman, a couple marathons and numerous smaller races, plus the honor of racing at the USAT Age Group National Championship in Milwaukee in 2014 and the Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Canada in 2014. Nobody is more surprised than Dave, who jokes, "After 50 years who knew there was an athlete under all that fat?"
Gail and Dave met at the Cigna 5k race in August 2012 and were married at the Rogues' monthly club meeting in February 2014. The ceremony was performed by the club's 2013 Triathlete of the Year, Amy Davidson, who is also responsible for being the friend who convinced Dave to try that fateful first race on New Year's Day 2012 that led to his multisport addiction. He has never forgiven her.
